How to Hide Unread Email Notifications in Windows XP?

Many of us get irritated due to display notifications at logon screen on Windows XP having many user accounts on the same computer.These notification are annoying when it displays no.of unread email messages and email addresses.As it is showed in image,it display messages at the start-up screen like “123 unread messages”.

Usually these email notifications displayed below the user name with no.of unread messages.These message are related to email services you used on the computer and which are related to Microsoft i.e. outlook express and Hotmail service.Windows counts all unread messages and display them in the logon screen.

I will tell you how to hide email notifications in Windows XP.You can use TweakUI PowerToys software to remove these notifications.

Steps to follow :

1) Install this software in your system and run it after installation gets completed.

2)Browse the “ Logon ” and select it.After that select ” Unread mail “.

3)Then,remove the ” Show unread mail on Welcome screen ” option by clicking on checkbox.You can choose other settings also to apply it for all users or just for a single user on the computer.
