Nowadays, many bloggers are using WordPress for blogging. WordPress have various useful plugins to make blogging easier. So, I thought of writing a post on WordPress plugins .I searched plugins on WordPress and checked which plugins other bloggers are using on their blogs. I tried almost all plugins which I have mentioned below and they were simply awesome! Here’s the list of top 30 WordPress plugins that you should try on your blog.
1. Akismet:
Akismet helps you to remove spam from your blog. It collects spam and keeps it in Comments section of your WP dashboard. You can approve or disapprove the spam comments from admin dashboard.
2. All in One SEO Pack:
As name suggests, it is useful for optimizing your blog for Search Engines. Those who don’t have much knowledge about coding and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) they must use it.

3. Google XML Sitemaps:
This plugin creates a Google XML-sitemap for your blog. It helps to submit updates from your blog to different search engines like Google, Yahoo, and MSN search.
4. WordPress Automatic upgrade:
I just love this plugin. You don’t have to do anything to upgrade your blog to latest available WordPress version…just install this plugin, click a single button to upgrade blog and sit back. This plugin will do everything for you and within few minutes your blog will be upgraded to newer version.
5. Get Recent Comments:
This plugin displays latest comments in your sidebar; it also shows trackbacks or pingbacks. It supports gravatars.
6. podPress:
If you are a podcaster then this plugin must be there in your list of plugins. I won’t say anything else about it, just try it. There are many features available in this plugin which will make podcasting simple for you.
7. cformsII – contact form:
cformsII – contact form plugin will create a simple contact form on your blog. You can add multiple forms on a single page. Your readers can send suggestions, feedbacks with the help of this contact form.
8. Subscribe To Comments:
Readers can subscribe to comments and get the latest comments from post to their mailbox.
9. Sidebar Widgets:
It adds useful widgets to your sidebar. Whenever you want, you can add or remove widgets from sidebar.
10. Google Analytics for WordPress:
The Google Analytics is one of the most favorite tool of webmasters. This tool is also available to WordPress users with its plugin. It tracks outbound links, comment author links, blogroll links, links within comments, clicks on pages etc.

There are many plugins available for social bookmarking but I like “Share This” more than anything else. It adds links on blogposts to popular social bookmarking sites like Facebook, Mixx, StumbleUpon, Digg and many many others.
13. flickrRSS:
flickrRSS allows you to add flickr images on your blog/site.
14. Apture:
Many people don’t know about this new plugin. Apture provides a quick snapshot of a page which is linked in your article. Twitter is a new generation communication tool. If you want to display your tweets on your blog then simply go for it and install it on blog.

Taking polls from readers is always a good thing and if you are using polls on your blog then WP-Polls is just for you.
17. DualFeeds:
Dual feed helps to provide both summary feed as well as full feed to your readers.
18. WP-Sticky:
It adds a sticky post feature to your blog. If there is a popular post on your blog then you can use this plugin to make it sticky.
19. WassUp:
WassUp is also a new plugin but getting popular day by day. It tracks numbers of visitors visiting your blog. It shows current visitors online, last searched terms and last external referrers.
20. WordPress Related Posts:
This is another useful plugin. It displays related posts according to tags used. Your readers can read related articles on blogs and they don’t need to search entire blog for related content.
21. Broken Link Checker:
This plugin will check your blog and display broken links on dashboard. It also checks for missing images.
22. Disclosure Policy Plugin:
If you have any health related blog, blog with 3rd party content or a blog on sensitive topic then this plugin must be your first choice. It includes a disclosure policy at the bottom of post, and also in feeds.
23. Redirection:
Redirection plugin manages 301 redirections and keeps track of 404 errors.
24. WordPress Tweaks:
WordPress Tweaks comes with simple tweaks which can make your blogging smooth and easy. It should be there on your dashboard plugins list.
25. Easy Gravatars:
This plugin enhances comment section on your blog by adding gravatars. It displays gravatars for your readers who comments on blogposts.
26. WP-DB-Backup:
It simply takes back-up of your WordPress database tables. So it is always better to take back up of your databases before any problem arises.
27. Popularity Contest:
Popularity Contest plugin counts number of your post, category and archive views, comments, trackbacks and with the help of this information it displays most popular post on your blog.
28. Optimal title:
Optimal title plugin is also useful for SEO. It optimizes title of your article so that it can rank well in search engines.
29. FeedBurner FeedSmith:
FeedBurner FeedSmith plugin helps you to count all of your blog’s feed traffic through FeedBurner.
30. WordPress.com Stats:
Another WordPress stats plugin but it is far better than other plugins. It is very much similar to Akismet, it also requires API key to install it.
