Download Windows 7 Codec Pack for Windows Media Player 12

by Harshad on January 22, 2009

Windows Media Player 12 is built-in media player in upcoming Windows 7. It is also included in Windows 7 Beta by Microsoft developer team. WMP 12 is latest version of Windows media player and now it supports popular formats like DivX, XviD and MP4.

Even though WMP 12 is compatible with new formats it does not support all formats and gives error while playing videos in different formats. The only solution to this problem is Codecs!

Windows 7 Codecs installs codecs for unsupported formats. To run different videos in Windows Media Player 12, you just have to download Windows 7 Codec pack and install them appropriately. If you don’t want to install full Codec pack, then you can select required formats and install them.

one place you are talking about codec pack, then you mention download windows 7 drivers, no place to down load codec. then you say download avs, video converter, still no download codec. are they the same or what.
