iPhone 3.0 is just surfaced on the internet with the efficient features and improvements. But iPhone Dev team has already revealed the new unlock tool to unlock iPhone 3G and iPhone 3G S.
It is named as “ultrasnOw”. It has replaced the old YellowsnOw in this OS 3.0 update. YellowsnOw software doesn’t work anymore, as Apple team has fixed the previous holes in the firmware update.
The UltrasnOw unlock tool will be released on Friday, 19th. iPhone 2G users can use QuickPWN or Pwnagetool to jailbreak and unlock the iPhone 3.0 firmware.
The iPhone Dev team has published a video of ultrasnOw to demonstrate the use of it. Take a look at the video below.

I’m kind of new to the jail-breaking/unlocking of iPhones. I actually have no idea how any of it is done. I’m interested in unlocking my 3g iPhone with the new 3.0 firmware on it so I can sell it. Is there any kind of software i would need to download other than the ultrasnow?… any information you could help me out with this on would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
If you don’t have proper knowledge about iPhone unlocking then don’t do it by yourself, take help from someone who knows about the process. However, you can check the requirements here.
hi heres some very helpful and easy ideas to upgrade,jailbreak,activate your iphone (2G).all you have to do is to download redsnow software and iphone1,1_3.0_7a341_restore. then upgrade your iphone(2G).before you do the upgrade pls.make sure that you are running itunes 8.2 version.because redsnow only runs with itunes8.2 version.

I’m pretty new to all this unlocking and jailbreaking but managed to work it out after reading quite a few of the online blogs. My only problem is that I managed to get everything working except my internet access. Running Vodafone sim. Contacted them and they have sent on the required downloads.
New problem is that the phone has reverted back to the original sim settings. Can anyone help or do I just try and run ultrasnow again.
