Requirements:

Jailbroken iPhone 3GS

Steps to unlock iPhone 3GS:

1. Launch Cydia from Springboard.

2. Select ‘Manage’ option and open ‘Sources’.

3. Select ‘Edit’ button and then select ‘Add’ button.

4. Add http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com/ repository in the given field.

5. Select ‘Return to Cydia’ and then press ‘Done’ option.

6. Now, open UltrasnOw repo and select ‘Install’ button.

7. Once again, press ‘Return to Cydia’ button.

8. Restart your iPhone 3GS.

Your iPhone 3GS is now unlocked and can be used on any carrier.

Can you pls clarify if it is possible to use these tools to unlock and jailbreak the iphone 3gs with 3.1.2 firmware to use with a huthinson 3G network sim?

I have already written articles on how to jailbreak and unlock iPhone 3.1.2 firmware. These tools will not work on 3.1.2 firmware.

Now a days there are so many people with a jailbroken and/or unlocked device that it is starting to decrease sales of Apps and things of that nature.

I tried this and all I get is a searching message and then a no carrier message. I guess this means I didn't successfully unlock my phone? Any suggestions?
