I’ve unlock my iphone 2g with blackra1n but only allows me to download cydia and r0ck… the sn0w is missing. everytime I switch my sim card from att to a diffent sim the iphone will show the “sync to itunes” icons (emergency calls only). is there another way to download black sn0w?

I understand that the jailbreak (and thus unlock by default) only last as long as the phone remains on? I hear if you let the battery die and or shut your phone off and restart it, you lost the jailbreak (and thus unlock) and have to re-do the process.

Its called a "teathered jailbreak."

Can anyone confirm this?

Once you update to next firmware, you'll have to jailbreak and unlock it again.

Hi-

I followed the jailbreak steps- worked fine. I am pretty sure I followed the unlock steps but it won't unlock. I then tried the alternate suggestion but when I start blackra1n on my PC it only says "make it rain", I can't find any "snow" under the app.

Forwarded:

There is another method to unlock iPhone 3.1.2. Check out the following steps.

Steps to follow:

1. Open blackra1n app.

2. Select ‘sn0w’ to install on your iPhone.

3. That’s it. The sn0w tool will automatically unlock iPhone 3.1.2 firmware.

If you have any doubt, feel free to ask in comment section below. I will try to solve them.

Can you help?

Thanks
