by Harshad on January 20, 2010

bing logo Microsoft has been working very hard to improve its relatively new search engine Bing, but it couldn’t make large impact on internet users. Google is still the best search engine in the world and its popularity is increasing each day.

To give better competition, Microsoft is targeting Apple’s upcoming iPhone OS 4.0. According to BusinessWeek sources, Microsoft wants to replace the default search engine, Google, with Bing in next iPhone OS.

Google has launched its Android based phone, Nexus One to capture the large mobile phone market. With the launch of Nexus One, Google has become new competitor for Apple’s iPhone. So, Apple may take it seriously and finalize the deal with Microsoft.

Most of the mobile users prefer Google search on their mobile phones. Bing is also a good search engine as compared to other search engines available on the internet. Now, it’s just matter of few more days and we will hopefully see Bing as default search engine on iPhone.

For those who don’t know, Apple has planned an annual event on January 27. You can check the details here.

iPhone users, are you ready to accept Bing as default search engine?
