Motorola Droid to get Android 2.1 This Week

Today, Motorola team has announced a sweet announcement for Droid users on their Facebook fan page. According to them, Motorola Droid will get Android 2.1 update this week.

Here’s the actual update from the official Motorola team -

Hi all– we know you are frustrated with the lack of details regarding Android software upgrades and we sincerely apologize for not being able to share info sooner. We’re happy to relay the 2.1 upgrade to DROID will start to roll out this week, and we will have more information to share on other device upgrades later …this week as well. Thanks for your patience and continued support.

Motorola Droid users have waited for so long, but eventually it was worth waiting. Android 2.1 will bring more features and flexibility to the phone. If you are a Droid user, do let us know what you think about this update.
