Untethered Userland Jailbreak for iPhone 3.1.3

GeoHot, a popular iPhone hacker, has recently published a video of untethered jailbreak tool for iPhone 3.1.3. The tool is said to be working on iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch. GeoHot has also confirmed its support to iPad firmware.

Another hacker, Comex, has released demo video of his tool, which is claimed to have complete untethered jailbreak facility. Watch the untethered jailbreak tool’s video below.

iPhone dev team has also shown thumbs up to this tool, so there is no need to worry. The new tool is basically working on userland jailbreak concept, which was demonstrated at recent Pwn2Own hacking contest. Users can jailbreak their device by pointing to given website.

The jailbreak tool is not released for public use yet, but it will hopefully come out soon. However, you can also jailbreak your device using Redsn0w 0.94.
