Spirit2Pwn is a Fake Tool, but still works (Unofficially!)

Earlier today I had shared an article about a new patch for Spirit jailbroken iPhone and iPod Touch. The original developer, John Heaton, has confirmed this patch as fake on his Twitter account.

John Heaton Says -

Guys the modmyi article is fake. I did not make anything that “patches” spirit. Please, retweet this.

MMi guys have also confirmed this patch as fake on their forum. Those who have tried Spirit2Pwn patch on their devices are getting some errors. Spirit2Pwn still works with some of the iDevices, but it has been credited to wrong person and also uses Apple’s copyright code.

Well, it is recommended that you should stay away from the patch and any other related guides available on the Internet. Don’t use this patch until someone comes up with new legitimate tool.

You can still try Sn0wbreeze 1.6.2 (Spirit compatible) and PwnageTool 4.01 to jailbreak iOS 4 on iDevices.

Update: Sn0wbreeze 1.7 is released to jailbreak iPhone 3GS (new bootrom)

I”m using it RIGHT Now and it works. I'm on OLD BOOTROM, 3.1.3 spirit jailbroken 3GS.

I installed spirit2pwn and my phone is now upgraded to 4.0 and is jailbroken along with being unlocked.

Because I got to the point that I'm able to put the Tweetmeme and Facebook share on the main page and inside the post, but, the Facebook share from the main page, shares all the main site, and not the post is inside.
I hope you can give me a hand on this.

I'm using it right now, don't think it is fake because you can download it from multiple sources and because I am actually using it working fully jailbroken iPhone 3GS Old iBoot 359.3 jailbroken wusing PwnageTool 4.01 from a working Spirit Jailbreak. At the end of my video, you see a few screenshots of my iPhone showing the firmware I am running and SHSH blobs saved only on 3.1.3.

Yes guys that’s fantastic tweak (spirit2pwn). IT REALLY WORKS… I’m very happy to see my american 3Gs with old bootrom alive with jailbroken 4.0 firmware. should notice that 14 hours spent with SUCCESS…
