5 Things to expect from Apple’s WWDC 2010 Event

The Apple World Wide Developer Conference is scheduled to start from June 7 onwards, and will continue until 11 June. This year, the WWDC event will start with a keynote from Steve Jobs himself! The expectations from this year WWDC event are already quite high.

Many people are curious to see the ‘original iPhone 4G/HD’ and some are waiting for other exciting announcements. On the basis of on-going news and rumors, we think that Apple team might announce new products at WWDC 2010.

WWDC 2010

Here is a list of our expectations from the WWDC event -

1. iPhone 4G/HD

Well, after the numerous leaks we are sure that the iPhone 4G/HD will be launched at WWDC, this year. The Gizmodo/iPhone issue has also pre-hyped the launch of the iPhone 4G/HD. If the leaked prototypes are to be believed, the iPhone 4G/HD sure packs in a lot of punch.

2. Next Generation iPod Touch

Along with the new iPhone 4G/HD, we also expect Apple to release the next generation iPod touch. Like all the previous generation of iPod touches, the next generation of the iPod touch will be similar to the iPhone 4G/HD sans the GSM antenna. Hopefully, this year the iPod Touch released from Apple will sport a camera. An iPod Touch prototype, which leaked in Vietnam, did feature a 2-Megapixel camera at its back.

3.  iPhone OS 4

Apple may or may not launch the iPhone OS 4 during the WWDC event. If by any chance, they don’t launch the iPhone OS 4, we do expect a new beta of the OS from Apple. In all probability, the iPhone 4G/HD will be running the iPhone OS 4 when it ships.

4. Mac OS X Update

The last update for Mac OS X was the 10.6.3 update. The update not only increased the boot-up times, but also led to a decrease in performance. The overall system stability also decreased. Hopefully, Apple will launch the 10.6.4 update for OS X during the WWDC event this year.

5. New APIs

We expect Apple to demonstrate some new APIs for the iPhone OS 4 and the Mac OS X Snow Leopard.

These are our top five expectations from the Apple WWDC event 2010. Apple is known to surprise everyone, and maybe this year again, they have a surprise for all their consumers?
