Yesterday, I had posted about Android 2.0, which will be available on future Android 2.0 OS supported mobile phones. HTC Hero users were not sure about firmware update for the device, but today HTC has confirmed that HTC Hero will also get an Eclair update.
HTC team has provided an update on their official twitter account. Here’s what they have to say -
The rumors are true! Hero will be getting an Eclair update. We ask for your patience as we update Sense for the fancy new Android OS. - Twitter Link
As HTC has confirmed all the rumors, HTC Hero users can sit back and wait for future announcements from them. It’s pretty much clear that HTC Hero will receive an official firmware update and there is no need to go for any other unofficial firmware.
It would be interesting to see Android 2.0 running on HTC Hero. As soon as Android 2.0 releases for HTC Hero, I’ll post its review on Tech Exclusive. So, stay tuned or subscribe to email feed to get free updates.
