Here’s a good news for HTC HD2 users! Android 2.1 is ported to HTC HD2 .
XDA developers have managed to port Google’s highly popular Android 2.1 OS on HTC HD2. The users were quite disappointed with HTC’s decision of not providing Windows Phone 7 update for the device, but now they can at least enjoy Android experience on their powerful device.
Now, HD2 users can dual boot to Ubuntu ‘Karmic Koala’ or Android 2.1 OS. Although these operating systems are ported to HTC HD2, it will take some time to get a stable release. “HTC Linux developers” are working on this port so that end users can try Android on the Windows based phone.
