Android 2.3 Gingerbread Update Available for Galaxy Tab P1000

Good news for all the Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 users out there; Samsung team is going to roll out the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update for the first generation 7 inches Tab. The upgrade is expected to go live today. The Italian Tabbers which be the early ones to use it.

People at Italian Android community got a hand of the first upgrade schedule which would be availed via Samsung Kies, the official Samsung device management software.

Samsung launched Galaxy Tab that year with Android 2.2 Froyo stocked. It is the second Android device for which Samsung has rolled out a Gingerbread upgrade this year. There are speculations that the original 7 inches Galaxy Tab will not get any Honeycomb or Ice Cream treat but it is good that the device is at least getting a Gingerbread upgrade.

It is not sure when this upgrade will go live for US, India and other countries, but now that it’s there in Italy, it won’t take much time to reach a worldwide roll out.
