Apple may not launch its iPad 3 models this year at Fall media event. That’s right! According to sources close to Apple’s supply chain, the company has canceled the iPad 3 supply schedule for the second half of 2011.

Since the launch of iPad 2 devices, many people were claiming that the company will come up with another high end model (iPad 3) later this year to compete with its tablet competitors. Though Apple has not confirmed the latest report, sources have said that manufacturing team found some display issues in those models during the development stages.
With iPad 3 devices, Apple is looking to introduce high resolution retina displays in its tablets. It is being said that Sharp, a Japanese based company, supplies such displays with a high price, which might not be affordable. On the other hand, Samsung and LG are still struggling to provide the quality products to the Apple team.
Apple’s much talked about retina display was first introduced in iPhone 4 devices, but unfortunately they haven’t managed to replicate same thing in iPad devices yet. Now that iPad 3 launch is delayed for 2012, users will have to wait till next year.
