The Apple iPad will be launching internationally on May 28th, said Apple in an official announcement. According to Apple the “international” countries include only Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK.
Two of the world’s fastest developing economies –India and China have been totally ignored by Apple here. Apparently, Apple thinks that the Indian and Chinese users are still not ready for the ‘revolutionary’ iPad.
Whatever may be the case, the nine “international” countries users can pre-order the iPad from the Apple’s online store from Monday, May 10th onwards. Apple has already managed to sell a whooping one million+ iPads since its launch.
Apple will further launch the iPad in Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Singapore and New Zealand in the month of July. However, they did not say anything about the pricing of the iPad in the above countries.
This obviously not the first time that they have delayed the launch. Apple iPad was supposed to launch much earlier on international level, but they postponed their international schedule due to unexpected demand in the US market.
