Apple’s yearly conference will be held on January 26th and rumors about its upcoming products have already started spreading on the internet.
A forum member at apfeltalk has found out an interesting thing on his new iPhone 3G packaging. The packaging on the phone was labeled with iPhone 3GS 8GB, which is still not released by Apple. iPhone 3GS is only available in two versions i.e. 16GB and 32GB.
You can see the label below.

Apple always announces new iPhone models and their prices in official events, and now it seems they want to bring iPhone 3GS 8GB models in the market. However, it is quite possible that this is just a typographical error from Apple’s manufacturing department.
Other mobile companies, like HTC and Motorola, have also launched their top mobile phones this year and they are giving tough competition to Apple’s iPhone. In the next month, Google will also launch its much awaited phone, Nexus One. So Apple has to do something to remain on top position in the mobile world. It would be too early to predict anything about Apple’s new iPhone model. We’ll have to wait till January 26th, 2010 for the official announcement.
