Apple: Over 300,000 iPad Units Sold on Launch Day


iPad Although Apple iPad has not got great reviews in early days, it has convinced lots of users later on. On the first day of iPad’s launch Apple sold more than 300,000 iPads in US. Isn’t it impressive?

Initially, Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs called it a revolutionary product and now looking at the first day sales, we can certainly say that it will definitely bring revolution in computing world.

Steve Jobs’ statement after iPad launch -

“It feels great to have the iPad launched into the world — it’s going to be a game changer.”

Some other interesting information reveals that people have downloaded over three apps and one book within first hour of unpacking of the iPad. According to Apple’s early report, iBookstore books received more than 250,000 download. The report also says that people have downloaded one million applications from iPad App Store.

These early numbers indicate that iPad is not a failure and will make an impact on future technology. Yesterday, iPhone hacker posted a video of iPad jailbreak, which means users can try third party apps on their iPads. This confirmation from Dev team will also help increase iPad’s popularity in the world.
