Apple releases iOS 4.0.2 & iPad OS 3.2.2 to patch JailbreakMe Exploit

Even though hackers are using new exploits in their jailbreak tools, Apple knows exactly how to patch these loopholes. Now, they have released iOS 4.0.2 and iPad OS 3.2.2 to fix the holes that are used in JailbreakMe tool.

Previously, iPhone Dev team and Comex had warned everyone about this firmware update, which removes jailbreak for iDevices. If you want to keep the jailbreak, please stay away from this update.

iPod Touch Software Update

Of course, the iOS 4.0.2 and iPad OS 3.2.2 provides security by fixing the PDF exploit. Those who are really concerned about the security of their device, it’s recommended that you update to new firmwares. To update your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad, just connect it to the computer and update through iTunes. Do not forget to ‘Sync’ the device before installing the firmware update.

The Dev team is still examining the new firmware and they have not confirmed any jailbreak tool for this update. So, it would be a wise decision to wait for their next update.
