Apple removes 5000+ Apps from App Store

App Store In this week, Apple has removed over 5000 apps from its app store. It was really a shocking moment for the developers who have worked very hard to make their applications popular in app store.

App store plays an important role in the world wide success of iPhone and iPod Touch. Millions of users download apps from app store on daily basis, which also produces good revenue for the developers.

Apple’s strict action against certain apps has created a lot of buzz around the world. To avoid any more controversy, Apple’s VP of World Wide Marketing, Phil Schiller has explained the recent activity in the app store.

He said, “It came to the point where we were getting customer complaints from women who found the content getting too degrading and objectionable, as well as parents who were upset with what their kids were able to see.”

Schiller also said, “We obviously care about developers, but in the end have to put the needs of the kids and parents first.”

Apple is doing their job to maintain the quality standard in their products. However, it’s unfortunate for businessmen and developers who have been pouring money and valuable time to build software.

What do you think about Apple’s action? Let me know through your comments.
