Bing celebrates Earth Hour with Search Users

Earth Hour Earth Hour, an initiative from World Wildlife Fund (WWF), has once again united entire world for a noble cause. Everyone is trying to spread the word, and now Microsoft’s Bing search engine is also joining to this cause.

Bing team will change the homepage to dark image so that they can send the Earth Hour message to all Bing users.

Here’s what they have to say -

While a darker version of our page doesn’t save any energy over the regular version, we wanted to do our part to help spread the word. So in honor of Earth Hour, the Bing homepage image will go dark at 8:30pm Eastern Daylight Time and stay dark until 9:30pm Pacific Daylight Time.

Black color obviously consumes more power on computer screen, but we should respect to the main cause supported by the search engine team.

If you are celebrating Earth Hour in your country, do share your thoughts with our readers. Happy Earth Hour! :)
