Blacksn0w to Unlock iPhone 3.1.2 Firmware


Pwned Good news for all iPhone 3G and 3GS users. GeoHot is back once again to rescue iPhone lovers. Those who have updated their phones to firmware 3.1.2 through iTunes can unlock iPhones using new tool.

In his recent post update, he has mentioned that he’s working hard on an unlocking tool called Blacksn0w. This tool will unlock 05.11.07 baseband on iPhone 3G and 3GS. The procedure of creating unlocking tool for latest baseband is difficult. So, it would definitely take some time for the final release of Blacksn0w unlocking tool.

GeoHot has also posted the screenshot of arbitrary code running on the baseband, which confirms the arrival of Blacksn0w. Take a look at the screenshot below.
