GeoHot has officially released his unexpected jailbreak tool, Limera1n. Yes, it was supposed to release on Monday i.e. October 11, but the hacker has changed his mind and made it available today for users.
Limera1n works on iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 3G, iPad, iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4G. Since it is an ultimate tool, it will jailbreak all the iDevices for life. Currently, the hacker has released Windows version of Limera1n, and Mac & Linux version of tool will come out soon.
Limera1n also supports iDevices running on iOS 4.0, so everyone has a great chance to jailbreak their devices. iPhone Dev team has not tested this tool yet, and it is still in Beta version, which means you may find some bugs while installing it on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.
Please note that iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 users will have to wait for PwnageTool release. If you use Limera1n on your devices, you will lose unlock. Stay away from it!
