Apple team today released the first update for Mac OS X Lion users. Mac OS X 10.7.1 is now available for all the users who have updated their Mac computers to Lion OS.

In this update, Apple has addressed some of the important problems and errors reported by Mac users. Along with other bug fixes, Apple has provided a fix for Wi-Fi dropping issue in this software release. Mac OS X 10.7.1 also resolves issues related to HDMI, Safari, and transfer of data, settings and compatible applications to a new Mac computer.
Here’s the list of issues addressed in Mac OS X 10.7.1 update -
- Address an issue that may cause the system to become unresponsive when playing a video in Safari.
- Resolve an issue that may cause system audio to stop working when using HDMI or optical audio out.
- Improve the reliability of Wi-Fi connections.
- Resolve an issue that prevents transfer of your data, settings, and compatible applications to a new Mac running OS X Lion.
- Resolve an issue in which an admin user account could be missing after upgrading to OS X Lion.
If you have already updated to earlier Lion update, you can directly download this update through the Software Update option. Also, it is important to note that Apple has released specific updates for MacBook Air 2011 and Mac Mini 2011 models.
- Resolve an issue where MacBook Air may boot up when MagSafe Adapter is attached.
- Resolve an issue causing intermittent display flickering on MacBook Air.
- Resolve an issue that causes the SD card slot in Mac mini to run at reduced speed with SD and SDHC media.
