iPhone Dev team has come up with an updated Redsn0w tool to jailbreak Apple’s newly released iPhone OS 4 Beta 4. The Redsn0w 0.9.5b4 fully supports iPhone OS 4 firmware.
Redsn0w’s earlier version was working properly with old iPhone OS 4 Beta versions. Now, Apple team has fixed the loop holes of iPhone 4.0 firmware. These fixed holes don’t allow Redsn0w 0.9.5b2 to jailbreak the Beta 4 of iPhone operating system.

The Redsn0w 0.9.5b4 is released in one flavor i.e. it only works on Mac platform. iPhone 3G users can only use this software; other phones are not compatible with current Beta version. Those who have iPhone OS 4 Beta 1 can also use Redsn0w 0.9.5b4.
Since iPhone OS 4 and Redsn0w tool are still in the Beta versions, it’s not recommended for end users to try out this tool on their devices. Apple is going to release iPhone 4.0 at WWDC 2010. So, just wait for few more days to enjoy the iPhone OS 4 experience. Let developers handle these Beta versions. For more information, head over to iPhone Dev Team Portal.
