i need help.

i received an iphone 3gs in the mail that was supposed to be jailbroken and unlocked but it wont read my t-moblie sim card. it has cydia and ultrasn0w is installed and has a green check next to it. The phone is version 5.0.1 and the firmware is 06.15.00
what can i do to troubleshoot this and make it work/

i have a 3g tried putting redsnow on it but says it need to be restored the turns off nd has no provider can u help im in canada phone was for bell i want it rogers

Please reinstall the new firmware on your iPhone 3G and then try to jailbreak it with any jailbreak tool.
