I jailbroke my itouch 3g but theres nothing to download like when i did it with blackrain

i did it with black rain and i added this spirit thing and my iphone now is dead.

If you have used tethered jailbreak earlier, you need to restore your device.

can't you just restore it from itunes?

Blackra1n was a tethered jailbreak tool where as Spirit is an untethered tool.

So do i still use blackrain once restoring my itouch then using spirit?

Restore your iPT to iPhone 3.1.2 and then use Spirit. No need to use Blackra1n tool again.

Spirit works on iPhone 3.1.2 as well as 3.1.3. Just restore your iPT to 3.1.2 and jailbreak it using Spirit.

If i restore from itunes it goes back to 3.1.3 though… not 3.1.2

How's that possible? Are you restoring back to 3.1.2 or 3.1.3?

Thats what im asking, how do i restore back to 3.1.2 if im currently on 3.1.3.

I plug itouch in and click restore (left click) just deletes everything and stays at 3.1.3

spirit it's only jailbroken software. if your iphone is not factory unlock then you can't unlock it at the moment

Hi Cha, I had the same problem. I used spirit without restoring my Iphone. And I had blackrain installed. Now it's dead, I can't unlook even with blackrain, keeps reestarting. what should I do?

did the Spirit and now my phone won't power up. It comes on, I get the apple logo for about 30 seconds then it powers off for 1 second and does the same thing over and over…..I can hard turn it off w/ the home and power button. When I connect my phone to my Mac it'l powers up and does the same loop.

i have the same problem although i never had black rain or anything else. it just stays on the logo gives me the thinking circle and then back to the logo again. can't do anything about it. please help.

As per the question above, I would really appreciate some help.

I have used BlackRain, to jailbreak my iPhone 3GS (3.1.2), and then I used Cydia / Snow to unlock my iPhone too.

I would like to have my iPhone both 'unlocked' to a specific network. Also, I would like to have it jailbroken, but untethered – ie – not have to keep using Black Rain, if my iPhone runs out of power.

So, I assume 'Spirit' is the solution , for the untethered jailbreak?

If so, do I restore my iPhone in iTunes from Black Rain, to 3.1.3 first?

Then, install Spirit?

Can I then use 'Snow' afterwards, to unlock the network?

If you upgrade your iPhone 3GS to iPhone 3.1.3 firmware, you'll lose the unlock. So, don't restore it to 3.1.3! Get 3.1.2 firmware and use Spirit.

i have blackra1n and want spirit ipod touch 3.1.2. do i uninstall blackra1n then restore my ipod, then install spirit? help please!

Spirit is just a jailbreaking tool. You can't unlock iPhone 3GS with this tool. Wait for iPhone Dev team to launch new jailbreaking and unlocking tools.

i didnt restore my IPT before using spirit, but i went through the procedure of using spirit and it did the abyss screen thing with the loading bar i let it finish but the bar and the screen woulndt go so i turned my ipod off and now everytime i turn it on all it does is show the apple logo and nothing else ive tried turning it off and on loads of times but it just wont budge please help me id be really grateful x
