Download Ultrasn0w 0.92 to Fix Carrier Name & Logo

Apple Logo Today, iPhone dev team has released a new unlocking tool, Ultrasn0w 0.92 to unlock iPhone 3.1.2 firmware. Earlier ultrasn0w 0.9 was working perfectly, but in the latest firmware update it has started giving some weird problems to iPhone users.

After jailbreaking iPhone 3.1.2 firmware with PwnageTool 3.1.4 and unlocking it with ultrasn0w, many users found that carrier name and logo was missing. Now, this bug has been removed from old ultrasn0w tool and ultrasn0w 0.92 comes with proper fix.

Note: Ultrasn0w 0.92 only supports 04.26.08 baseband version. Those who have upgraded their baseband version to 05.11.07 can use this blacksn0w tutorial to unlock the device.

Fix Carrier Name & Logo with ultrasn0w 0.92

If you’ve unlocked iPhone with previous version of ultrasn0w then there is no need of following the steps given below. Just go to ultrasn0w in your Cydia app and ‘modify’ it. This will install ultrasn0w 0.92 on your iPhone 3.1.2. Now restart iPhone to get proper carrier name and logo.

Steps to follow:

1. Open ‘Cydia’ and go to ‘Manage’.

2. Select ‘Source’ and then open ‘Edit’.

3. Add following repo :

4. Now search ‘ultrasn0w’ in Cydia and install it on your iPhone.

Ultrasn0w 0.92 will unlock iPhone 3.1.2 firmware. Once the installation process gets over, reboot your phone and then you will see the appropriate carrier name and logo.
