Windows XP, one of the most successful operating systems in the history of Tech industry, is now being considered as a dead OS. Microsoft has officially announced that they will not provide more support to this OS, as they are concentrating on Windows 8. The developers, however, are still creating tweaks, themes and apps for Windows XP, even though the company has decided to discontinue future updates.
A developer at DeviantART has come up with an interesting theme called Windows 8 Aero XP for Windows XP users. Of course, this concept theme won’t bring new features to the old OS, but something is always better than nothing.

If you haven’t upgraded your system’s OS to Windows Vista or Windows 7 yet, we would certainly recommend you to try this simple and elegant theme on your computer. You can follow the given procedure to install it on Windows XP -
- First , unzip the compressed files to C:\windows\resources\themes
- In Theme Patcher Run the Patcher.exe of your SP ( look at proprerties ) AND RESTART YOUR COMPUTER, it’s imperative for have themes.
- Double click for run the Aero W8 x32 or Aero W8 x48.theme (Icons 32×32 or 48×48) and chose your color.
- Apply
( Perhaps, you must have a message that the theme is too big but you can apply. This the XP’s protections we have get around with the patch).
