After Nexus One’s successful launch, people were expecting Nexus Two to come out in the Q4 2010. Google CEO Eric Schmidt has denied all the rumors and speculations of a new mobile phone.
Google has no plan to release rumored Nexus Two in the near future and they are very much pleased with the performance of Nexus One.
Eric Schmidt on Nexus Two -
“The idea a year and a half ago was to do the Nexus One to try to move the phone platform hardware business forward. It clearly did. It was so successful, we didn’t have to do a second one. We would view that as positive but people criticised us heavily for that. I called up the board and said: ‘Ok, it worked. Congratulations – we’re stopping’. We like that flexibility, we think that flexibility is characteristic of nimbleness at our scale.”
Unfortunately, mobile phone users will have no other choice than opting for Nexus One or its competitors. HTC has been developing quite interesting Android phones like Samsung Galaxy S and HTC EVO 4G. If you are a true fan of Google’s Android OS, these phones will give an awesome user experience.
