Google News, the most popular new aggregator in the world, has been redesigned to keep up with users’ needs and drastically changing web platforms. The designers at Google have included many new features in the UI as well as structure of the service.
Now, users can read the excerpts of top stories at the center space. They have also added ‘Top Stories’ feature in left pane, which reminds us the Trending Topics feature of Twitter.
Since the new Google News is designed to suit the needs of tech savvy users, we can see the ‘News For You’ section on the homepage. It is an unique feature as it allows us to choose or add the topic of our choice. In this way, we can avoid unnecessary topics from the timeline.
Another interesting feature is sharing a news topic on social networking sites. With the help of this new feature, users can easily share an article through E-mail, Twitter, Facebook and Google Buzz. There is also a facility to add stories on Google Reader.
