With uncountable registrations everyday, there is no count of how many people are using Google+. Now Paul Allen of Ancestry.com did a fine research to calculate and predict the number of users on Google+. He used a combination of surnames and population data from U.S. Census Bureau to estimate a roughly number of users on Google+. Later, he expanded the data to international level.

His analysis started on July 2, with 410,773 from US alone. After expanding internationally, by July 4th, there were 515,933 users from US and 1,226,136 outside US giving a total of 1,742,069 Google+ users. After 6 days, on July 10th, the total number of Google+ users flung to 7.3 million. Yesterday, July 11th, it passed 10 million users mark.

According to Allen, if this rate continues, Google+ is expected to reach a 20 million users mark by this weekend. This rate of growth must have started giving headaches to people at Facebook, which currently has 750 million users worldwide.
