Google rolls out Android 2.2 Froyo for Nexus One


Google team has been receiving some good remarks after announcing Android 2.2 at Google Developers’ Conference.

Android 2.2 OS will be available on upcoming new phones. Some of the old Android 2.1 running phones are also expected to receive Android 2.2 update. Google’s Nexus One, Motorola Droid and HTC EVO 4G are compatible for Android 2.2, and they are expected to get this update in coming weeks.

However, TechCrunch’s MG Sigler reports that Google has started to roll out Android 2.2 updates on Nexus One today. As you can see in following screenshot, Nexus One has been upgraded to Froyo operating system.

Currently, Nexus One is the only device that has officially got Android 2.2. Other Android phone users will have to wait for  a week or two to get Froyo on their phones.
