A couple of days back, we had reported about the upcoming Google Search layout, and now Google team has officially announced this new search design for tablets users. Considering the huge popularity in tablets market, Google guys have decided to come up with the improved search, which can help users find the best results on their portable devices.
Xiaorui Gan, a Software Engineer at Google, said that this release is a part of the evolution process of design and experience -
As part of our effort to evolve the Google design and experience, we’ve improved the www.google.com search experience on tablets. We’ve simplified the layout of search results pages and increased the size of page contents like text, buttons and other touch targets to make it faster and easier to browse and interact with search results in portrait or landscape view.
Since tablet devices use different screen size, Google developers have also optimized the search design and other related features. Apart from the web search, they have also improved the Google Image search for users. Take a look at following pictures of new Google search for tablets -

Google team will soon roll out this improved Google search for iPad and Android 3.1 based tablets, and will support 36 languages. So, keep your eye on Google.com!
