GreenPois0n for iOS 4.2.1 Untethered Jailbreak | Status Update

It’s been quite a while since we heard anything about GreenPois0n jailbreak for iOS 4.2.1. Chronic Dev team had promised to provide support for iOS 4.2.1, but jailbreakers are still waiting for untether jailbreak solution.

Meanwhile, iPhone Dev team has already started the Beta program for Redsn0w testers and have released Redsn0w 0.9.7b1,b2,b3 & b4 to bring untether jailbreak on iOS 4.2.1 firmware based iDevices. Now, they are also planning to release Windows version of Redsn0w 0.9.7, which will help Windows users to jailbreak the new firmware.

Joshua Hill, Chronic Dev team member, has shed some light on GreenPois0n for iOS 4.2.1 and here’s what he said on Twitter -

If you want to try GreenPois0n for iOS 4.2.1, you will have to wait for few more days or weeks. Redsn0w 0.9.7 Beta software does provide untethered jailbreak, but it’s not a perfect tool, as you need to follow several complex steps to get this feature on your device. So, it’s time to wait and watch!
