After iOS 4.1 Beta firmware update for developers, Apple has released iOS 4.01 for end users. The newly released iOS 4.01 supports iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4.
You can download this update from iTunes or use direct download links of iOS 4.01. iOS 4.01 is just a minor update and doesn’t lock the old jailbreaking methods. The Redsn0w 0.9.5 Beta 5 works perfectly on the firmware.
You can use following guide to jailbreak your iPhone on iOS 4.01. Please note that the Redsn0w 0.9.5 Beta 5 only supports iPhone 3G, so don’t try it on other devices.
