Guide to jailbreak iOS 4.3.1 with Sn0wbreeze 2.4 b1

As you may know, Sn0wbreeze 2.4 b1 has been updated to bring tethered jailbreak on iOS 4.3.1 devices. In case you don’t know how to jailbreak iDevices with Sn0wbreeze tool, here is a handy guide that will teach you the process of creating custom IPSW file.

In order to jailbreak iOS 4.3.1 firmware, you will need to understand few important things. This is NOT an untethered jailbreak, which means you’ll have to jailbreak again, if you reboot the device. iPhone unlockers with new baseband should stay away from Sn0wbreeze 2.4 jailbreak tool.

Steps to follow:

1. Download all the files to your desktop. Connect your iDevice to iTunes and sync it.

2. Open Sn0wbreeze 2.4 b1.

3. Click on the arrow and browse the downloaded IPSW file on your desktop.

4. Wait for Sn0wbreeze 2.4 b1 to verify the iOS 4.3.1 firmware file. Once the firmware is verified, you’ll see the following screen.

5. Click on the arrow and select any of the suitable modes – Simple Mode or Expert Mode.

6. If you’ve chosen Expert Mode, select Build IPSW as shown below.

7. Click on the arrow and begin the IPSW building process.

8. If you’ve followed all the steps correctly, you’ll see this message on your computer screen.

9. Click on OK button. Now, it’s time to jailbreak your iDevice! Turn off the device.

10. Click on Start button and follow the screen instructions to put your device in PWNED DFU state.

11. Open iTunes software and restore your iDevice to “customized IPSW file”. iTunes will take few minutes to identify and restore the jailbroken firmware.

12. Now, open iBooty 2.2 software and select your iPod Touch, iPhone or iPad. Click on Start and follow the same instruction to put your device in DFU mode. iBooty will automatically process the internal files to bring tethered jailbreak on your iDevice.

13. Done! Don’t forget to update Cydia tool to version 1.1.
