Requirements:

• iTunes 9.2
• iOS 4 Firmware
• Download PwnageTool 4.01

Steps to follow:

1. Connect your iPod Touch or iPhone to PC and start PwnageTool 4.01 on the desktop.

2. Select your iDevice from given options on the screen.

3. Once you have chosen the correct device, PwnageTool will scan for appropriate firmware.

4. If you are using iPhone, PwnageTool will display “Do you have an iPhone [x] contract that would activate normally through iTunes?”. Select ‘No’.

5. Now, wait for PwnageTool 4.01 to create custom firmware file for your device.

6. After you get success message on the screen, restore the iPhone to the previously created custom firmware. To restore the iPhone, hold ‘Shift’ button on the keyboard and click on ‘Restore’.

7. Select the custom .ipsw file and enjoy the jailbreaking experience.
