How to Fix Cydia Crashing in iPhone 3.1.2?


Cydia Logo Since last two days, many jailbroken iPhone users have been facing serious issue with Cydia app. Earlier, iPhone users have encountered Cydia crashing problem with iPhone 3.0 firmware and it was caused due to a corrupt package file.

The current Cydia problem is bit different from previous one. If you have installed ZodTTD repository, you will find Cydia crashing frequently on iPhone. We can solve this issue by implementing two methods.

Fix Cydia Crashing in iPhone 3.1.2

Requirement: iPhone 3.1.2 firmware on iPhone.

Method 1:

  1. Open ‘iFile’ App from your iPhone and go to main directory.
  2. Follow this path – Var/Lib/Apt/Lists
  3. Select all files by using ‘Edit option.
  4. Uncheck ‘Partials’ directory.
  5. Now click on Bin option to delete the files.
  6. Close the app and reboot your phone.

Note: Don’t remove partials directory.

Method 2:

If above method doesn’t work for you, try following method to fix the problem.

  1. Download WinSCP (for Windows users) and Cyberduck (for Mac users).
  2. Open these tools on your computer.
  3. Enter appropriate details in the given fields.
  4. Follow this path - /private/etc/apt/sources.list.d
  5. Search for ZodTTD and remove it from the list.
  6. Reboot your phone.

Done! Now you can enjoy Cydia app one again. :)
