Apple’s new cloud project, iCloud, has now been updated to iCloud Beta 8. If you’re an authorized Mac developer, you can download Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 Build 11C40 from the developer center, which also enables the iCloud Beta 8 download option.

In today’s Mac OS X 10.7.2 update, you won’t find many new features as it is released to improve iCloud’s experience in the operating system. For general users, Apple has already provided Mac OS X 10.7.1 firmware update this week, which is nothing but a bug fix update.
Apple has also released Safari 5.1.1 browser version for the developers. Now, users can sync bookmarks and Reading List with iCloud service.
The final version of iCloud will be released with iOS 5 final update. Apple is reportedly planning a launch event where it will officially announce the availability of both iOS 5 and iCloud service.
