Since Apple is preparing the iPad 2 launch for next month, it looks like they will probably release iOS 4.3 during the same event. For past one month, Apple team and developers have been testing iOS 4.3 beta firmwares to find out any bugs and errors in the mobile phone OS.

If you think Apple is the only one who is busy in iOS 4.3 development, you might have to think again. Well, the iPhone hacking community is also looking for exploits that can be used for future jailbreak. Today, Stefan Esser – the iPhone hacker, has updated everyone with an interesting tweet on Twitter. Here’s what he said -
I heard @securetips will release a iOS 4.3 untether exploit after next weekend. Follow him for news.
Few weeks back, Chronic Dev team released an untethered jailbreak, GreenPois0n RC5, for iOS 4.2.1 firmware users. iPhone Dev team has also shown its Redsn0w jailbreak for iOS 4.2.1. Now, the new untethered iOS 4.3 exploit from an unknown hacker will literally open the doors for jailbreakers.
So, this update almost confirms that the latest jailbreak tool will be released soon when iOS 4.3 comes out. However, it would be interesting to see the competition among different jailbreak teams to release first jailbreak tool for iOS 4.3 firmware.
Update: @Securetips has denied the speculations of iOS 4.3 untethered jailbreak tools, as he don’t want to release the exploit -
@i0n1c Sorry, but we won’t release the 4.3 untether exploit. We believe that keeping the vulnerability secret is the best possible defense.
Update 2: iPhone Dev team has released two untethered jailbreak tools for iOS 4.3.1 firmware – Redsn0w 0.9.6 RC9 and PwnageTool 4.3
