iOS 5 Beta 4 Released; OTA Update Available for Developers

Just after the official announcements of exciting new products this week, Apple team has now released iOS 5 Beta 4 software update for iOS developers. Similar to other updates, today’s release also brings new improvements and some bug fixes to the software.

Along with iOS 5 Beta 4 today, Apple is also testing the OTA updates feature for the first time. The OTA update feature was announced at this year’s WWDC event. This new enhancements will certainly help users, as there is no need to download entire firmware for few changes.

In case you haven’t tested yet, go to your iDevice’s settings and try to get this firmware update. Here’s the first look of Apple’s iOS 5 Beta 4 OTA update download process -

As you can notice above in the picture, iOS file size has reduced considerably and it will probably be reduced more when we will receive future updates on the devices.

iOS 5 Beta 4 (Build 9A5274d) is also available at iOS developer center, which will allow you to download entire firmware for the development process.
