iOS 5 Release Date Announced: October 12

Apple team today has announced that the next major update, iOS 5, will be available on October 12, 2011. The latest firmware update will bring more than 200 new features to the iDevices, which includes iMessage, improved notifications, Twitter integration, Newsstand etc.

Apple’s new iCloud service will also roll out on the same day. The iOS 5 Beta software has been tested by more than 100k developers and now it’s almost ready for the release. This software version will work on all the latest iDevices, as announced earlier.
