We all are aware of the fact that Apple launched first tablet device, iPad, last year in the market, and then most of the manufacturers tried to imitate the same tablet device. But who invented this tablet concept?
A video coverage recorded in 1994 reveals that some people were actually working on a tablet prototype, which looks like today’s iPad models. Have a look at the following ‘tablet concept’ video -
As you might have watched in above video, the developers and designers had concrete plan to bring daily newspaper to a portable device. The video shows that the prototype model had capabilities to run videos in an article (similar to news blogs) as well as interactive advertisements (like iAds).
This video footage also tells us that developers wanted to build network enabled (3G support?) tablet in the future, but Apple and other companies took 16-17 years to design such device.
