Apple’s next device, iPhone 4S/iPhone 5, has generated lots of news and rumors in the last two months. Today, the sources close to DigiTimes have revealed another insightful news. According to them, Apple will implement curved glass screen in upcoming iPhone 5 devices, and it is being said that Apple team has already bought 200-300 glass cutting machines to manufacture these new screens.

However, the cover glass makers are reluctant to commit investment to the purchase of glass cutting equipment. At this moment, the machines are reportedly stored at assistant assembly plants and will be used soon for the manufacturing process.
As per the earlier reports, Apple is not going to launch iPhone 5 in the next month i.e. June 2011. Today’s report also suggests that Apple has not decided any timetable for iPhone 5 volume production yet, and they are still sorting out few things with the suppliers of cover glass, glass cutting, lamination and touch sensors to improve yield rates.
