iPhone Dev team has developed iOS 4.2.1 compatible version of Ultrasn0w tool to unlock iPhone devices, and now it’s almost ready for public release. Musclenerd has confirmed this news on his Twitter account.

Good progress today…everything is on track for updated ultrasn0w by Sunday/Funday at the latest (longer for iPhone4!)
As mentioned earlier, Ultrasn0w for iPhone 4 will not be released on this Sunday. So, iPhone 4 users should wait for few more days or weeks to unlock their phones.
If you’re not aware of iOS 4.2/iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak, Redsn0w 0.9.6b4 now supports iOS 4.2.1 to enable tethered jailbreak on iDevices. Apart from old iPhone 2G and iPod Touch 1G, it works smoothly on all iPod Touches, iPhones and iPads.
