GeoHot has once again shown his presence in iPhone hacking world. The latest blog post on his blog suggests that he has developed an untethered jailbreak for iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS as well as 2nd & 3rd generation of iPod Touch.
He also believes that his tool will work on Apple’s upcoming iPad too. Here’s a quick excerpt from his post update -
The jailbreak is all software based, and is as simple to use as blackra1n. It is completely untethered, works on all current tethered models (ipt2, 3gs, ipt3), and will probably work on iPad too.
As far as release date of the jailbreak tool is concerned, he didn’t provide any details on it. Apple is going to release a new iPhone firmware upgrade (iPhone 3.2), which will definitely patch the security holes that are useful for current jailbreaking tools.
So, it’s better for jailbreak users to wait for some time. Meanwhile, you can watch the video of GeoHot’s untethered jailbreak below.

nice, but is it for an ipod touch 3g /os 3.1.3 too !? with 32gb !?
