The new jailbreak tool for iDevices, JailbreakMe 2.0, has made jailbreaking much simpler than earlier iPhone OS jailbreaks. However, some users are facing issues with their jailbroken devices.
Winterboard, one of the popular apps for themes and lock screens, has suddenly started acting weird for users who have used JailbreakMe on their iPod Touches and iPhones. The issue seems to be related to the new iOS 4/iOS 4.0.1 as Apple has changed lots of things in the new mobile operating system.
As of now there is no solution available for Winterboard problem, but I’m sure Saurik will release a fix soon. Some of the JailbreakMe users have reported their issues on various online platforms. Have a look at them below.

When I had my phone jailbroken on previous iOS’s and I would look through Cydia for various tweaks and themes, I would first see a screen showing basic information about the item I selected. After a couple of seconds, the page would expand and I’d be given the option to select “more info” or screenshots of the item before deciding whether or not to download it. Now, however, I’m never able to get past the basic information. I tried using WiFi while on Cydia to no avail. Could this be a result of their servers being overloaded?

I have jailbroken my iPhone 4, running 4.0.1 with Jailbreakme.com and for some reason I have loaded the latest version of Winterboard via Cydia and it is not working.
When I want to put the little touches onto my iPhone, like different wifi, signal and battery icons in winterboard, it resprings my device but does not change them on the screen.
I have also downloaded a background for the folders via Cydia and again this does not work.
Downgrading the iOS firmware to iPhone 3.1.x may or may not work for these users. Do you know any other temporary fix to solve this issue?

Dont suppose anyone has located any iphone 4 ready themes as yet? All the themes that ive seen so far are for v3 or lower so the icons look slightly pixelated.

It also appears that not all of the fonts work as well. I have a 3gs, and some of the fonts dont work.
I have a 2nd gend iPod touch version 4.0 and I jailbroke it today with jailbreakme.com and nothing in winterboard works at all. Someone please help!!
whenever i re download winterboard and when it reboots my phone it srunches all my icons together and leave 1/4 or the screen empty with nothing but a black gap at the bottom.

Uninstall Winterboard from your iPod Touch and wait for the fix.

zToggle works! Winterboard would not allow me to extend my wallpaper onto the springboard; zToggle fixed that issue! Thank you!
