Launchctl Fix for Corona 5.0.1 and Redsn0w 0.9.10b1 Users

Two days back, iPhone Dev Team and Chronic Dev Team had released their untethered tools to jailbreak iOS 5.0.1 on non-A5 devices. This new jailbreak worked seamlessly on most of the iDevices, but, as always, some users found unexpected errors while performing the jailbreak.

Saurik, the father of Cydia app, noticed the launchctl related issue with newly released tools and developed a fix for those who have used Redsn0w tool or Corona bundles. Here’s what he has to say -

iPhone Dev Team had released second beta of its tool to provide proper fix to the users, but users came up with another issue. However, there is absolutely no need to worry about it as they have released third beta for jailbreakers. Here’s the official explanation -

The b3 version of redsn0w fixes a problem where re-running redsn0w over an existing jailbreak would cause MobileSubstrate-based apps to stop running until MS was installed again.  Now you can re-run the redsn0w jailbreak step without worrying about that (but still remember to de-select the “Install Cydia” option if it’s already installed).

Now, you can try the updated Corona package and Redsn0w tool to fix the said issue.
