Limera1n Jailbreak for iOS 4.1 to be released by GeoHot

Limera1n jailbreak for iOS 4.1 has now been confirmed by GeoHot through the Dev team members. Yes, this obviously means that GeoHot is making his comeback with the new jailbreak tool for iOS users.

Limera1n is said to be an all in one tool i.e. it will help you jailbreak all the iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad devices (maybe Apple TV too!). The tool is expected to come out on October 11, after the release of GreenPois0n tool.

Most of the users are happy with this announcement, as they will get multiple options to choose their jailbreak tool, but iPhone Dev team as well as Chronic Dev team isn’t much happy with GeoHot’s decision.

If he plans to release a jailbreak for iOS 4.1, two bootrom exploits will be wasted on one firmware. Musclenerd’s comment on GeoHot’s comeback suggests the same thing -

Chpwn, iPhone developer, has also expressed his views on unexpected Limera1n jailbreak -

However, Chronic Dev team has confirmed that they won’t make any changes to ETA of GreenPois0n.
